Family footprint - Emmisions.

This carbon calculator is free to use

The carbon footprint is the total amount of CO2 that are generated daily by our actions in our homes, businesses, neighborhood or workgroups. It is equivalent to the amount of polluting gases that are released in combustion processes (these gases are known as Greenhouse Gases), where the highest percentage is CO2 gas. The combustion is a chemical process that is present in almost all energy systems that we use every day. Examples of systems are the transportations (air, land, sea) where diferents kinds of fuel oil are burnerd; the use of electricity from Thermoelectric Plants that burn fossil fuels (Natural Gas, Diesel, Fuel Oil ). We consume electricity for lighting, air conditioning, refrigerating and preserving foods, in the electric motors and others services. The use of water which requires compression systems; and in each food, good, service that we can use every day.
This calculator compares the emissions that we generate monthly with figures of the average US's States and the world, in order to show how much we are influencing on air pollution with our actions vs the reference numbers.
The circular graph shows which are the family energy inputs that have the highest proportion in CO2 pollution.

Author: René F. Ruano has more than 40 years of experience in engineering field, in control, assembly and repairs energy systems and equipment, that use fossil energy and renewable sources. He started as a Plant Operator in Fuel Oil and Naphtha Conversion and Refining Plants and a few years later, he reached the position of Technical Manager´s Plant. After, he was the Founder and Technical Manager of Energy Engineering Teams, worked in Project, Assembly and Technical Services in Heat and Cool Systems, covering the generation, distribution, use and control of Steam, Hot Water, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Renewable Systems. Now, with his personal support, he is carrying out the General Energetic Engineering project where he publishes, free online , his knowledge and experiences applied to computer systems that report the CO2 emissions generated when energy is consumed. He has the hope, what the interested people and parties can access, learn , understand and participate for reducing and mitigating the CO2 emissions that are the first cause of the Climate Change.
